Membership
IHA is a non-Government, not-for-profit organization established under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 for the development of the Indian honey industry. IHA is the only honey industry alliance that is recognized by the Government, industry and scientific community as the single most important and credible stakeholder for all matters pertaining to honey.
Indian honey manufacturers, bee keepers, brand owners, exporters, traders, processors of Indian honey including their Associations/ Federations, if any, NGOs and management consultancy organizations, research and academic institutes and testing facilities with interest in promotion of Indian honey. The membership of the society is open to any honey production and/or marketing company or ancillary industry owning or managing one or more factory or factories in India or traders/ exporters.

Membership with IHA is valid on an annual basis. Members are required to renew their membership by paying the annual subscription fee to continue enjoying the benefits and participation in alliance activities for the subsequent year. The renewal process ensures uninterrupted access to exclusive resources, events, and collaborative opportunities within the alliance.
IHA work towards strengthening consumer confidence and building a cohesive environment for the overall growth of the honey industry. IHA is committed to creating new opportunities and facilitating ease of doing business for its members, be it with the government and policy makers or with any other stakeholders. We also assist with training and upskilling opportunities for beekeepers and entrepreneurs, through existing networks and mentors.

Life/Founder/Patron/Institutional/ Corporate member | 5 Lakhs | 3 Lakhs | Called Founder Members / Members of MC / Voting rights at the annual or special Annual General Meeting and / or General Body Meetings of the Society/Contest elections or seek nomination as a member of any committee. Founder Members are those who have signed the charter. For all intents and purposes, the rights & privileges of all members in this category are at par. The MC will be constituted from this category. MC will be formed once every three years. |
Associate Corporate Members (Organizations/Honey traders/Aggregators) | 2 lakhs | 75,000 | Special invitees to all Meetings and to select MC meetings/Voting rights at the annual or special Annual General Meeting and / or General Body Meetings of the Society/Seek nomination as a member of any committee. Any organization irrespective of the turnover can chose higher category, but will not be called Founder member. |
